The Heaters were an L.A band that played a perfect fusion of glam rock and power pop. Formed by the two sisters Maggie and Missy Connell, Mercy Bermudez, Phil Cohen and James Demeter, the band released this interesting and bombastic debut in 1978.
With bangers like "Powerline", "Crossfire" and "I've never been in love" the sound still sounds fresh up to this day, and the vocals are as playful as they create melodies within melodies. Interesting moments with saxophone brighten up the catchy riffs and creative drumming.
No bad song or filler on the entire album. Excellent power pop.
